// Managed Infrastructure — Use Case
That Mission-Critical App from 2008? We Keep It Running.
Hosting and lifecycle support for legacy applications — the ones that still run your business but nobody wants to touch, including the operating systems they depend on.
Every business has one: the application that runs on Windows Server 2008, Oracle 11g, or a custom build from a vendor that went out of business — and yet it's the backbone of order entry, claims processing, or manufacturing control. Replacing it is a multi-year project nobody has funded. Decommissioning it isn't an option. We host these legacy applications in isolated, hardened environments — secured from the broader network, monitored, backed up, and kept running while you plan the eventual replacement on your timeline, not an emergency one.
// Value Prop
Keeping the Past Running, Safely
Isolated Hardened Environments
Legacy apps run in network-segmented environments with compensating security controls — so a vulnerable OS doesn't become a doorway to the rest of your network.
Lifecycle Support for EOL Systems
Windows Server 2012, SQL 2008, custom Linux builds — we support them past vendor end-of-life with extended security updates, hardening, and compensating controls.
Planned Modernization Path
We don't pretend legacy is a permanent answer. Each hosting engagement includes a roadmap — replacement, refactor, or retire — so legacy doesn't accidentally become permanent.
// How It Works
Migrate the App, Isolate the Risk, Plan the Exit
We migrate the legacy application and its dependencies to our hosted environment, wrap it in network segmentation and compensating security controls, back it up, monitor it, and keep it patched to whatever extent possible. Meanwhile, we partner with you on the replacement roadmap so you control when and how it gets retired.
// Who It's For
Who This Is For
Businesses with line-of-business applications on end-of-life operating systems, organizations with custom software from defunct vendors, manufacturers with SCADA or industrial control systems they can't update, and any business whose auditors, insurers, or security assessors have flagged legacy systems as a risk.
// FAQ
Common questions
Q
Our insurance won't cover us with unsupported OSes. Does this help?
Yes. Compensating controls (network isolation, monitoring, hardened access) often satisfy insurance requirements even when the underlying OS is unsupported. We document the controls to insurance standards.
Q
How long can you keep a legacy app running?
Indefinitely, in most cases — but that's usually the wrong goal. The right goal is a managed lifecycle with a planned replacement. We can host safely for years, but we push for modernization conversations continuously.
Q
What about licensing for old software?
Most legacy licensing transfers to hosted environments, but some vendors have specific terms. We review licensing during assessment and flag any gaps or risks — and we don't host software we can't license cleanly.
