UWGLA needed to give all their employees remote access, from home or anywhere outside the office, to local office PBX features like, making and receiving calls using their office PBX extensions/office DIDs, call forwarding, voicemail, etc. . They wanted to do this without the need to acquire/install new software or hardware.

Cybernet recognized that UWGLA was already using Microsoft Teams throughout their organization. Cybernet was also in the unique position of being both a CLEC and a Microsoft Teams Calling provider. As a CLEC Cybernet could home all UWGLA’s DIDs, enable MS Teams Calling for UWGLA and securely route all UWGLA’s DID calls directly to their MS Teams applications.

UWGLA met their goal of enabling remote office calling for all their users, without the need or cost of acquiring any new software or hardware. Not only that but, because Cybernet homed UWGLA’s DIDs, UWGLA could run their existing hosted PBX service and their MS Teams Calling service simultaneously. This made for an extremely smooth Hosted PBX to MS Teams Calling migration while also giving them the option to retain some Hosted PBX physical desk phone calling for executive level employees. For all other UWGLA employee’s, Cybernet’s MS Teams Calling setup has given UWGLA a level of flexibility and call control they never had with their Hosted PBX service plus it allows UWGLA to massively reduce their physical desk phone hardware and maintenance costs.
